Disclaimer: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) continues to improve access to VA benefits for veterans and their families by making it easier to file and check the status of your claims with online resources like www.ebenefits.va.gov and www.VA.gov. Prior to filing a claim, our office encourages you to speak with a Nationally Accredited and Certified Veterans Services Officer (VSO) given the complexity of the VA claims process. For a list of Accredited National Service Organizations, visit https://www.va.gov/vso/.

PA Veterans License Plates

PA Veterans License Plates

PennDOT will begin issuing a new series of military-themed license plates to honor and remember the sacrifices of our service members and veterans. These license plates will include special designations for a variety of combat-related decorations and expand the criteria to qualify for the Merchant Marines plate. The license plates were authorized by Act 109 of 2014 and are now available for qualifying service members and veterans.

PennDOT now offers 34 different types of registration plates recognizing veterans. For a full list, please visit the PennDot website. The fees for these special plates vary.
